This year's Healthy Kids Day promises an exciting lineup of activities tailored to engage both kids and parents. On April 26th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., families are invited to join the celebration at the YMCA located at 451 Main St. in Greenfield. The day will kick off with energetic performances by the Tumbling Tigers Gymnastics Team, followed by Zumba sessions led by Bella. Youth wrestling demonstrations, facilitated by Franklin County Technical School wrestlers, will further captivate the audience. In addition, children can meet beloved mascots Boomer and Paws, as well as members of the UMass women’s soccer team. These interactions aim to instill enthusiasm for sports and physical activity, ensuring kids remain active during the summer months.

Community Collaboration and Support

Emergency services such as the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments will display their vehicles, allowing children to explore them up close. Additionally, All States Materials Group will bring trucks for young visitors to admire. A snow cone and leotard sale benefiting the gymnastics team, along with a Free Store providing clothing and toys, underscore the event's commitment to inclusivity and generosity. With DJ Lazer Chicken supplying music and artists offering face painting and glitter tattoos, the atmosphere will be lively and welcoming for every family member.
