This summer, Chicago's Archer Avenue is preparing for an exciting transformation as it hosts the 10th edition of its popular car show. Scheduled for Friday, June 13, from 6 PM to 9 PM, this event will take place along the stretch between Narragansett and Oak Park Avenues. During this time, the street will be closed off to traffic, allowing attendees to leisurely stroll through the area, admire stunning vehicles, indulge in culinary delights from food trucks, or enjoy the lively sounds of music.
Entertainment highlights include a dynamic performance by Dueling Pianos, which will captivate audiences near the Chamber Stage located within the Archer Heights Credit Union / Lindy’s parking lot. Attendees are encouraged to participate by singing along or requesting their favorite tunes, creating an interactive and energetic atmosphere. Additionally, the Midway Chamber’s Bizhub at 6422 W. Archer Ave. will remain open that evening, hosting a Shop Local Pit Stop event featuring a special vendor showcase from 5 PM to 8 PM.
As part of the community effort, the Garfield Ridge Neighborhood Watch seeks volunteers to contribute to the event's success. Those interested in showcasing their own cars or obtaining more information can reach out via phone or email. Participation in the car exhibition is free of charge. This gathering not only celebrates automotive culture but also fosters a spirit of unity and collaboration among local residents and businesses, reinforcing the importance of community engagement in urban life. Through such events, neighborhoods thrive and connections deepen, proving that collective efforts lead to vibrant and meaningful experiences for everyone involved.
